multi.tasking

If you enter my room at this exact minute you will see me sitting in front of a fan with a laptop, a scanner, a bunch of negatives and with my earphones on.
If that's not multitasking then I do not know what it is? BTW It is also comsuning a hell lot of electricity but I digress.

So I'm sitting in front of the fan because my laptop fan is crap so I need some external help for preventing a fried lap.
And I'm *finally* scanning my B&W film because I am too cheap to have it developed in the regular way.
And I'm choosing my songs for this month's Mixmania.

And I'm also avoiding going downstairs where my father is. With an alcohol level way higher than the legal one. And like the Energizer's Bunny, he keeps going and going.

product.placement

Or why you should wake up entirely before doing something.
I was thinking of writing about the amazing thing that is Proactive. But this past week, the stuff ceased to provide the wonderful results it once had so I was really disapointed.
Until this morning when I was more awake than usual when I started putting the stuff.
mmm... I thought, it's not scruby, it's soft, wait... fuck, I've been putting the moisturizer instead of the mask.

So, I return to my previous opinion: the stuff works really fine. Only that I do no use it as directed by the package, I tried and my skin was all fucked up. Their plan is too abrasive so I designed my own plan and i'm amazed.

The only problem now is that I can't stop touching my face, it's so smooth .

Do not mind the fact that the product is endorsed by Britney Spears and P(uff) Di(a)ddy.

that.is.it.for.now

Four entries in a row. Why? Because I plan my entries in my head and when I have the add an entry window, I go blank. Wordstipation (tm Colleen ) That, and the fact that last time I checked my stats, 68% of the visitors stayed for no more than 5 seconds. 5 seconds? That’s though! At least leave the window open while you read something else. That would give me a false sense of security I’d enjoy.

photos

After one week of solitary freaking-out which involved cleaning my room twice, I finally told my mom I didn’t find the Europe pictures. After HER freaking-out, she remembered she put them in a box. (I’ve left them in a Walmart bag behind a sofa so the probability of them being in the dumpster was pretty high).
Now, my plan is to scan them and put them on flickr but I need to found a way to pay them first because I feel like a leech living from their free account. Strangely, I do not feel the same way about dland, why is that?

recipe

I’ve spend the last three days feeding myself with mostly this: It’s not exactly a cheese pie but it’s not exactly a cake. It IS awesome. And so so simple to make, no heavy machinery necessary. BTW, is a-ma-zing. If you have a chance to see her show, do it. If I could, I would build her a fan-site right away.
Oh, and my chef-crush is no longer
Jamie Oliver (sorry Jamie! Love your favicon, though) mostly because my damn tv channel keeps repeating the same three Pukka Tukka shows. Now, I love Anthony Bourdain. I would build him a fansite too (fanfic included!). I want to read Kitchen Confidential. Here is an excerpt
A chef I hate?: Rocco DiSpirito, he sucks.
Oh my god! I just finished hearing Anthony Bourdain reading his book. I’M MELTING
And it's only 9 bucks to download, why did I have to order books for my thesis? stupid thesis.

Elections

2006 is election year. July is the month. So, of course, the campaigns started in june-july. Awesome, right? First, all the hopefuls get money from god knows where and start flooding the city with their pictures and tv-ads.
Then, the pre-campaigns start. With three major parties and a hell lot of hopefuls, the news have a lot of material. Add to that the enormous financing that the electoral institute gives to them and you have a fuck load of money going to god knows where.
And after every party decides on their candidate we will have to listen to the larger-than-life stupidity of all of them. Can you tell I enjoy the democratic process?
And, here is when I do a question to those of you politically inclined: You have a two party system so for you is one or the other, don’t you think that deters a lot of people from really participating in the electoral process? Because is pretty much black or white, right? Left or right, liberal or conservative. What do you do when you are neither one nor the other? At least, not strictly. Or is it always just the least of the evils?

Cover

Have you seen the cd cover of Shakira’s new cd? If you haven’t, you will probably won’t have a chance because a major cd store decided it was too raunchy and it’s trying to forbid it.
1st amend--what?
Anyhoo, here it is:
